- Melt butter on medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk 1 minute.
- Slowly add broth while whisking.
- Simmer until thick.
- Add pepper and soy/Worcestershire if using.
TO SERVE:
- Place schnitzel on plate
- Add mashed potatoes
- Pour hot gravy over both
OPTIONAL EXTRAS:
- Add mushrooms to gravy
- Serve with pickles or salad
- Sprinkle schnitzel with lemon juice
